About the Role

We’re looking for a Retail Operations & Implementation Specialist to join the team here at Matalan Head Office. As an Operations & Implementation Specialist, you will support in managing multiple initiatives within Matalan’s Retail Operations and Stores in order to deliver business value and improve processes.

You will support, and on occasion, lead retail improvement projects and implementation into stores driving efficiencies and supporting our role out of future technological enhancements.

  • Design & development of retail processes to drive efficiencies whilst supporting stores & Field Management with operational requirements during set up of new systems and ways of working.
  • Capture user feedback and liaise with the project team to plan iterations, new features & improvements.
  • Develop business cases and/or demand requests as required and work in partnership with central functions and field teams to deliver projects through to implementation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver project requirements on time and to budget.
  • Develop and support roll out retail future technology enhancements.
  • Direct the consistency of approach to communications, projects plans, risk & issues aligned to agreed governance & documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver key business updates through agreed channels
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Change Team on projects linking between Centre, stores and Regional Managers to enable end to end delivery.
  • Utilise data, insight and store feedback to provide pipeline for future improvements in store.
  • Work with Customer Service to understand what Customers pain points and maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Work with Regional Managers to understand our Stores and minimise impacts and maximise efficiency and look at ways in which process improvements could reduce friction.
