About the Role

We are looking for an Affiliate Manager to join our growing Marketing team here at Matalan Head Office. You will play a key role in driving the digital marketing strategy for Matalan delivering against omni-channel KPIs. Supporting the Senior Omnichannel Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for demonstrating the benefits of the affiliate channel and articulating how we should move the channel forwards.

  • Accountable for developing and executing Affiliate Marketing strategies.
  • Accountable for the management & efficiencies of spend in the Affiliate channels.
  • Responsible for developing business cases for new opportunities within the Affiliate space.
  • Manage, maintain and optimise affiliate campaigns & relationships.
  • Accountable for daily, weekly and monthly forecasting & reporting across the Affiliate channel.
  • Responsible for interfacing & building strong working relationships across eCommerce, marketing & trading.
  • Responsible for aligning plans to the company trade plan & wider marketing plans. 
  • Utilise the econometrics & attribution models to influence decisions to optimise campaigns & plan future campaigns across marketing.
  • Ensure that digital KPI’s are understood by business stakeholders and used appropriately
  • Keep up to date with new innovations & changes in the market to help identify opportunities.

About You


  • +3 years experience working within the affiliate market.
  • Should have experience of the omni channel retail environment.
  • Should be a subject matter expert with a passion for digital media & eCommerce.
  • Able to apply strategic & commercial thinking to campaigns, both on & offline.
  • Able to use analytics packages i.e GA 360.
  • IT literate with knowledge and experience of all Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence key business stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Highly driven and determined with a proactive approach.
  • Able to develop self – taking a proactive approach to learning & others around them.
  • Able to work as part of a large commercial team.
