About The Role

As a Senior POS Manager, you will be responsible for creating and delivering the POS strategy including FY planning, seasonal updates, trading support strategy and Brand strategy support. You will also liaise with store development to ensure any store closures, openings or refresh programmes are fully supported from a POS perspective. You will have a number of business stakeholders to manage requests for including Buying teams, Visual merchandising teams and Retail regional managers.

You will hold and manage the POS budget and ensure that is used effectively, always looking for ways to improve process and efficiencies for cost savings but with a mind to the customer in store experience and engagement. Innovation should always be part of the planning process.

You will have a good knowledge of print both sheet fed and web and be able to support the print manager especially around POS print and delivery.

A background within a retail environment is desirable including strong POS experience, print experience, and great people management, stakeholder interface and strong organisational skills. 

Role and responsibilities:

•Create the FY POS strategy with support and collaboration with the Head of MPP.

•Plan the full year budget and manage all month to month phasing.

•Ensure that POS strategy supports the overall brand and wider business strategies and reflects the marketing calendar.

•Ensure briefing processes are adhered to and all POS deadlines are communicated and met.

•Liaise with the Senior Creative Studio Manager and Senior Production Manager to ensure POS is aligned to their plans and timelines.

•Manage all E2E delivery to ensure process smooth and mock shop POS layouts / storage maintained.

•Work with the print manager to constantly review all print calendars, plans and suppliers for optimum delivery and cost efficiencies, plus new print innovation.

•Managing the POS and print team to ensure that the teams are developed, engaged and operating efficiently.  Implement  frequent 1-2-1s and seasonal personal development reviews. 

•Deliver the POS strategy at a national level working with the POS team to brief, execute and roll out all POS including reactive tactical delivery in line with trading needs. 

•Support new and refresh store programmes both UK and Internationally.

•Manage in store radio communication in line with marketing plans and to support tactical trading and events.

•Act as an interface with retail, VM, B&M and central planning teams to ensure all POS strategies are aligned across the business. You will be a central point of communication for the business on all POS activity.

•Effective management of external agencies to ensure activity is delivered on brief, within budget and to agreed timescales.

•Challenge costs and review processes to ensure optimum value for money.

•Constant evaluation of process and external suppliers to ensure optimum use of budget and effective delivery.

About You

  • Experience in a retail marketing environment (essential)
  • Marketing / Business or related degree (desirable) .
  • Strong project management, with excellent time management skills and experience of handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Process driven with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a moving landscape.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience of cost control and budget responsibility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership and management  skills
  • Highly motivated and proactive
