About the Role

A great opportunity has arisen to join our ecommerce team as a Paid Media Analyst. As a Paid Media Analyst you will support the Paid Media Manager in growing paid traffic for the Matalan website and  drive footfall to stores via paid media channels whilst working with other teams to support brand awareness and other objectives in the paid digital space.

  • Delivery & daily management of the paid search strategy
  • Manage campaigns within the set budgets, including Brand, Generic and Google Shopping
  • Support on forecasting for paid traffic and relevant KPIs
  • Provide recommendations and highlight opportunities across digital paid media
  • Stay up to date with the latest updates and changes in the market
  • Provide support in writing  ad copy when relevant
  • Generate weekly and monthly reporting for all metrics, goals tracking, revenue tracking, and other paid search initiatives.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to brainstorm and develop exciting opportunities
  • Work with channel partners such as Google, Bing & Facebook to look for new beta opportunities
  • Optimise bids in line with monthly budget allocations and ROI targets
  • Conduct advert testing, seeking to continually drive performance 
  • Expand and refine campaign keyword exposure where necessary using search query reports
  • Study on-page behaviour of paid search traffic and make recommendations to internal design and content teams to improve conversion rate
  • Ensure consistencies in PPC strategy between Google Ads and Bing
  • Build out new campaigns as new product categories are added to the website
  • Pull together reports on performance to feed back to internal teams and head of paid media where necessary

About You

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Advanced understanding of Google Ads and Bing
  • Experience of paid social advertising and Google Shopping desirable
  • Appreciation of latest bid management techniques and optimisation
  • Track record of delivering ROI
  • Excellent ability to create compelling ad copy
  • Understanding of all forms of paid search campaign types
  • Appreciation of the benefits of using attribution models to optimise towards
  • Confident using Google Analytics and similar statistical packages
  • Good understanding of online marketplaces
