About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Marketing Team as a Customer Marketing Executive.

As a Customer Marketing Executive, you will support the delivery of an effective, fully integrated multi-channel contact programme that meets strategy objectives and reflects the Matalan brand positioning.

  • The delivery of an effective, fully integrated multi-channel contact programme that meets strategy objectives and reflects the Matalan brand positioning
  • Support the Customer Marketing Manager with end-to-end multi channel campaign delivery, including project management and the production of briefing packs for the data, creative, retail and print teams.
  • Be the guardian of digital and traditional communications best practice and keep teams up to date with data protection guidelines.
  • Own and flex the campaign delivery planning calendar, co-ordinating production across the marketing team, ensuring smooth processes and the most efficient use of resource, together with the best customer impact.
  • Effective management of external agencies to ensure activity is delivered on brief, within budget and to agreed timescales.
  • Work with suppliers and cross-functionally within the business to optimise processes and minimise resource / investment.
  • Ensure that our CRM communications strategy are aligned to the needs of specific Customer segments identifying clear Customer KPI’s and targets .
  • Ensure we drive a full Customer centric approach to the execution of our CRM activity.
  • Understand and act as a key advocate towards the vision for the CRM agenda across the Business .
  • Through advocacy ensure we have a fully engaged peer group in the vision of this agenda as well as ensuring the wider Marketing team and indeed the wider business are fully au fait with the goals and objectives of this CRM agenda.
  • Own the delivery of the Customer Incentive programme, co-ordinating all on-line and offline incentive activity and ensuring that the relevant teams are aware of the current Customer incentives.
  • Manage monthly budgets.

About You

  • Marketing / Business or related Degree (essential)
  • Significant experience in customer marketing (essential)
  • Experience of producing targeting plans and data briefs
  • Experience of managing multiple projects
  • Experience of digital and DM campaign scoping, planning and delivery (essential)
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Experience of cost control and budget responsibility
  • Expert in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail (good analytical skills)
  • Highly motivated and proactive
  • Able to manage multiple projects
  • A understanding the retail marketing place
