About The Role

As HR Data Analyst you will be instrumental in evolving our people data journey at Matalan.

As you will be the key HR Data specialist in the team, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work autonomously. The ability to identify areas of improvement or change and help develop our internal processes will also be key to this role.

About You

You will understand and have practical experience of using a variety of data & visualisation tools to transform and analyse different data sets and present these in easy-to-understand formats. Managing the current HR Power BI dashboards is central to this role, as will be supporting the creation of the new HR Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI software therefore strong experience in this area is essential for this role.

Experience working in an agile, fast paced environment, with the ability to manage changing priorities and ad hoc requests will also be advantageous.

Experience with:

  • MS Office 365 suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other tools such as SharePoint & MS forms (essential)
  • Working with high volumes of data (essential)
  • Maintaining Power BI Reports – (essential)
  • Power BI – Building reports & dashboards (desirable)
  • Oracle Business Objects – create bespoke reports (essential/desirable)
  • Experience with a HR System/Payroll (essential)
  • Experience with iTrent HR System/Payroll (desirable)
  • Experience extracting data from 3rd party platforms i.e. LMS, ATS, HRIS (essential)

Key Responsibilities

  • The role holder will be responsible for the timely production of monthly dashboards
  • Extracting information & data sets from multiple sources (various HR platforms i.e. LMS, ATS, HRIS)
  • Create and maintain a reporting suite, designing and creating MI reports, utilising software applications such Excel, Power BI
  • Preparing reports and presenting them to stakeholders
  • Gender Pay Gap Reporting
  • Monthly ONS Survey Reports
  • Liaise with colleagues across other departments such as Payroll, IT & Retail Operations
  • Supporting key projects within HR and cross-functionally
  • Provide support and upskilling to colleagues as needed
  • Managing and maintaining data in line with GDPR requirement.
