Job Description:

Assistant Merchandiser

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Merchandiser to join the Merchandising team. As an Assistant Merchandiser you will assist in optimizing the sales volume and profitability of a designated product area.

 Assistant Merchandiser- The role:

  • Weekly and periodic sales and stock reviews
  • Identification of key “open to buy” opportunities
  • Re-forecasting of core line stock and sales, reviewing forward intake requirements
  • Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate data reports and analysis on a weekly basis
  • Complete range plans ensuring a balanced product offer is bought
  • Identify and monitor sales performance of markdown lines in order to reduce terminal stock
  • Deputise in the Merchandisers absence
Qualifications:

Assistant Merchandiser- The candidate:

  • Ideally a graduate
  • Minimum of 18months experience in a similar role or as a Trainee Merchandiser
  • High standard of numerical and analytical ability
  • Tenacious and flexible attitude to work
  • Commercial awareness
